Terms of Service
Last updated: 5 June 2026
These terms cover your use of the DeckView website, the DeckView macOS app, and the DeckView phone app. By downloading or using DeckView, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the product.
Who we are
"DeckView", "we", "us" and "our" refer to the team behind DeckView — a tool that mirrors live Serato deck information to your phone over Bluetooth. You can reach us at [email protected].
What DeckView is
DeckView is a two-part utility: the DeckView Companion, a macOS menu-bar app that links with Serato to see what's playing on each deck, and a phone app that displays it. The two connect directly over Bluetooth using a 4-digit pairing code. DeckView is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Serato or any other third party named in the apps.
Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use DeckView on devices you own or control, for your own DJ use. You may not resell, sublicense, rent, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the apps except where the law expressly allows it.
What you need
DeckView requires a Mac running macOS 13 or later with a compatible version of Serato installed, a phone with Bluetooth, and that both devices have Bluetooth enabled and are in range. We may update the apps to keep them working with new versions of Serato and the operating systems, but we can't guarantee compatibility with every future or past version.
Acceptable use
Use DeckView for what it's for: displaying your own live track information. Please don't try to break, scrape, tamper with, or abuse the apps, and please don't use them to do anything illegal or to infringe anyone's rights.
Your content
The track names, artists, and other information DeckView displays come from your own Serato library and your own music. You are responsible for that content and for having the rights to the music you play. DeckView simply reads and displays what is already on your computer.
App store purchases
If you obtain the iPhone app through the Apple App Store, your download and any purchase are also subject to Apple's terms and refund policy, which may differ from ours. Any in-app or store purchase is handled entirely by Apple — we never see your payment details.
As-is, and our liability
DeckView and this website are provided "as is". We work hard to keep things working, but we can't promise the apps will be available without interruption, free of bugs, or accurate at all times — including that every track change will always be detected or displayed correctly. To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for anything related to DeckView is limited to the amount you paid us for it (which, for free components, is nil).
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by law (for example, under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015).
Changes to the product and these terms
We may update, change, or discontinue DeckView or any part of it at any time. We may also update these terms as the product evolves. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any rights you have under your local consumer law.
